Your Business Your Way

Why working hard keeps you working hard

Have you ever been around a toddler who won’t stop asking questions? (They remind me of little detectives with the ferocious curiosity they have).

“Why are there two yellow lines on the road instead of one?”

“Why do they sell milk and cereal separately if you eat them together?”

“Why did your hair fall out?”

There is no limit to the amount or subject of their questions when it comes to kids.

And the really incredible part?  They expect the adults to know all the answers because adults have all the answers, in their eyes.  I know I definitely believed this when I was young.  I would ask my mum everything from why the sky is blue and not orange to why kids had to eat their greens but adults seemed to get away without eating them. And every time I expected an answer then and there.

However as I grew up, something weird happened.  I began to realize that adults do not have all the answers.  Even the ones who have the job and income that everyone else wants.  In fact, it was the ones who had what everyone else wanted that had the least answers.

They could tell me how to get a good job or how to play the stock market, but when it came down to the real questions like; how do I know what I should do with my life? Or, what’s the secret to happiness?  They looked at me like I was speaking in another language.

So what are you supposed to take away from all this?  Working your ass off to have the mansion and flashy car isn’t the answer to all your problems.  Want to know what is?  You have to figure that out for yourself.

But if you click below and join MTTB, then you’ll be free from all the commuting and office distractions that come with a regular office job because you’ll be working from home.  Managing your own time and not being a slave to someone else's agenda.  Working hard can actually keep you from answering the big questions.
